CEBU, Philippines - A motorcycle-for-hire driver met his untimely death when the motorcycle he was driving wobbled while traversing a slippery road in barangay Tubli, Moalboal town about 5pm the other day.
The driver was identified as Nestor Timtim of North Poblacion, Moalboal. His passenger, who sustained injuries in the accident, was identified as Magno Entera.
PO2 Teodora Baya of the Moalboal Police said the two victims were not wearing helmets at that time and that Timtim might have hit his head on a hard object like a rock, which caused his death.
The road at that time was reportedly slippery because of the rain the previous night.
Timtim and Entera were rushed to the Badian District Hospital, but Timtim did not make it alive. Entera was subsequently transferred to a hospital in Cebu City to further treatment. — THE FREEMAN
