CEBU, Philippines - A man is facing charges for allegedly stabbing another man to death last week in Naga City.
Norman Caro, 20, of barangay Mainit, Naga City, was charged with murder after he allegedly stabbed Santiago Mancera, Jr. during an altercation at 8 p.m. on June 10 in Mainit.
In an affidavit, a certain Danilo Patalinghug said that while he and the victim were having a conversation at the store, Caro suddenly appeared and stabbed Mancera, and fled away.
Caro reportedly had an argument with the victim before the incident.
The victim was immediately brought to the hospital but the doctor pronounced him dead on arrival.
The following day, the accused voluntarily surrendered to the Naga City police.
An investigation conducted by the Naga City Police Station revealed that the victim and Caro had a heated argument before the incident. It said the victim was hit in his back when the suspect stabbed him. (FREEMAN NEWS)
