CEBU, Philippines - The newly crowned Miss Mandaue 2010 and the 3rd runner-up in the beauty contest allegedly figured in a confrontation last Friday night during the miting de avance of Team Mandaue at the Reclamation Area which led to allegedly some hair pulling, all stemming from allegations that the contest was rigged.
Third runner-up winner Sharon Grace Angel went to the police and alleged that Carina Gajudo, the newly crowned Miss Mandaue 2010 winner, attacked her at a vacant lot in Ouano Avenue.
Prior to the alleged attack, she said Carina’s mother confronted her.
“Ikaw day ha, wa kay batasan. Baga ka ug nawong, imong gidaut ug gidamay akong pamilya. Naghimo ka ug storya ni Carina nga di deserving mahimong Miss Mandaue. Ikaw say nagpakatap ug istorya nga luto ang Miss Mandaue,” Carina’s mother allegedly told Angel in the vernacular.
Angel said that while she was being confronted by Gajudo’s mother, Carina the daughter approached her and asked her that they talk a few meters away from where the Team Mandaue was having its miting de avance.
Angel alleged that Carina told her: “Grabeha nimo oi. Nganong imo man kong dauton ug libakon ug gipagawas nga luto na ang Miss Mandaue. She alleged that Gajudo then grabbed her and struck her back and grabbed her head and grappled with her.
She said moments later, Gajudo told officials of the committee of Miss Mandaue that she (Angel) started the trouble.
A friend of Angel’s had alleged that he saw bruises and contusions on Angel’s body but was not present when the two women were going having a confrontation.
Dexter Alazas, Angel’s talent manager hopes the Committee of the Miss Mandaue can settle the matter very soon.
The FREEMAN tried to get the reaction of the officials of the Miss Mandaue Committee but both Pascual and Clarence Sanchez mobile phones remained unattended as of press time yesterday. (FREEMAN NEWS)
