Edu takes his campaign up north

CEBU, Philippines - After visiting the municipalities in southern Cebu, vice presidential candidate Edu Manzano joined a caravan in Mandaue City to ask for support from the people of Mandaue.

The caravan was arranged by Mandaue City councilorial candidate Anton Quisumbing, who is also the convenor of the Edu Manzano for Vice President Movement in Cebu province.

Manzano met with the different local leaders and supporters who were waiting him in the different barangays.

Quisumbing said that the people lined up the streets after they heard that Manzano will be visiting their barangay.

“Si Edu Manzano dili lang kay artista kon dili makamao usab gumikan kay nahimo man kini nga Bise Mayor sa City of Makati,” said Quisumbing.

Manzano admitted that it is difficult for a candidate to connect to the people especially if you do not have a leader in every barangay, town and city.

But in Mandaue City, Manzano said he observed the people are helping him and presidential candidate Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro.

Manzano said that even if he failed to get the endorsement from One Cebu party, but he did not consider this as reason for him not to ask for support from the Cebuanos.
