CEBU, Philippines - More than one thousand applicants trooped to the Mandaue City Cultural and Sports Complex yesterday for the two-day job fair organized by the city government.
Yesterday was reserved for domestic hiring while today is for overseas placements.
During yesterday’s program, Mayor Jonas Cortes said the presence of several employers joining the fair is a clear manifestation that they have confidence in the city.
“This is an opportunity for the fulfillment of your dreams,” Cortes told applicants yesterday.
Most jobs available yesterday were for high school graduates while there were also openings for supervisory positions and office work.
Public Employment Service Office (PESO) head Mossolini Soliva said there were 25 local companies that joined yesterday’s local fair which included Gaisano Super Metro, SM, Pilipinas Makro, and Smart. — Flor Z. Perolina (FREEMAN NEWS)
