CEBU, Philippines - The office of the Rural Health Unit of Aloguinsan town and a hardware store in Minglanilla town lost several items worth tens of thousands of pesos to burglars last Monday morning.
At 8:00 a.m., Teodulo Bacatan, an employee of Rural Health Unit located in Poblacion, Aloguinsan, discovered the burglary when he reported for work.
Initial police investigation said the unidentified burglars entered the establishment through the steel window. Once inside, the burglars destroyed the wooden grill that divided the laboratory.
Police said the burglars carted away a computer set, one UPS, a 21-inch television set, a central processing unit of a computer and the printer worth P70,000.
Meanwhile, at around 10:30 a.m. the Big Brother Home Depot in Poblacion Ward IV, Minglanilla was also burglarized.
However, police have arrested two of the three suspects during a follow-up operation led by Insp. Leoncio Baliguat Jr.
Those arrested were Junjie dela Calzada, 18, and a 17-year-old boy. However, their third alleged companion, Wilfredo Braclan Jr. had eluded arrest.
Police recovered from the house of the suspects several stolen items such as a set of computer, five pylox sprays, a bundle of electrical wires and two pieces of hose nozzles. – Gabriel C. Bonjoc/LPM (THE FREEMAN)
