CEBU, Philippines - At least P300,000 worth of property was lost to a fire that hit the Land Transportations Office-7 last Monday night.
FO3 Rey Lacado of the Cebu City Fire Department said the fire was reported around 11:18 p.m. and was controlled three minutes later by firefighters.
Firemen were able to immediately respond to the fire following a call for assistance by a security guard of the office.
Lacado said most of documents and some equipment inside the Operations Division of the LTO-7 were burned.
LTO regional director Raul Aguilos said the fire was caused by a faulty electrical wiring.

The LTO-7 Operations Division will resume its normal operations on Monday.
“On Monday, the operation at the Operation Division will be normalized,” Aguilos said.
He added that in the meantime, the division personnel will hold office at the vacant space of the Supplies Section at the Cebu City Licensing Division within the LTO-7 compound. – Niña G. Sumacot and Mitchelle L. Palaubsanon/LPM (THE FREEMAN)
