Man found dead inside a cave in Borbon

CEBU, Philippines – A man’s lifeless body was found inside a cave in Sitio Tabayng Lawom, Barangay Cadarohan, Borbon at around 10:00.a.m. yesterday.

Police officers said that the victim, Renilito Doblado Requeso, 49, a resident of Barangay Tayud, Liloan, was identified through his driver’s license that was found inside his wallet.

PO2 Rey Suson of Borbon Police Station said that it were the residents of the place who informed them about the dead body found in an estimated 20-foot deep cave.

Police investigators found several stabbed wounds in the victim’s right chest and neck, which were believed to have caused his instantaneous death.

Dizon Novabos, a resident of the area, was the first to discover the victim’s body. He told police that he noticed a line of blood on the street, which made him curious. He then traced it that led him to the cave where he discovered the victim’s body.

While following the line of blood, Novabos said he found a bloodstained screwdriver along the way.

Police believed that there were two or more suspects who were involved in the crime.

Suson said that their investigation will continue until they are able to identify the suspects and the motive of the crime. — Christopher Gabriel C. Bonjoc/WAB (THE FREEMAN)
