Man robbed by 2 near Redemptorist Church

CEBU, Philippines - Two unidentified armed men robbed a man and got away with his two cellular phones near the Redemptorist Church in barangay Camputhaw, Cebu City, around 8:30 p.m. last Monday.

Jerome Templa, 27, a resident of the said place, reported to the Fuente police station that he was walking when the two men on a motorcycle robbed him and took his two cellular phones, one worth P33,000 and the other P22,000.

Meanwhile, a man was arrested yesterday after he was allegedly caught trying to steal the cellular phone of another man around 10 a.m. near the waiting lounge of Robinsons Department Store, Osmeña Blvd., Cebu City.

The suspect was identified as Joseph Segarino, 18, and a resident of Lapu-Lapu City.

Marlon Lumapas, 39, of M. Singson Village, Mandaue City, was texting and waiting for someone when Segarino suddenly grabbed his Nokia 7360 cellphone worth P3,000.
