CEBU, Philippines - Police already identified the second suspect in the killing of convenience store owner Lalaine Oliver Jore.
This was said yesterday by Sr. Insp. George Ylanan, chief of Investigation and Detective Management Branch, who added they cannot reveal his name pending police operations.
The said suspect, who was identified by the police through the CCTV camera installed inside the convenience store of the victim, was the companion of former scout ranger Filomeno Amistad.
The police filed murder charges last Monday against Amistad who was arrested last Saturday in connection with the killing of Jore, who was shot dead in her store along Gorordo Avenue, Cebu City, last February 17.
“Gi-locate na siya karon. Pagdakop na lang ang kuwang,” Ylanan said.
In her affidavit, Jore’s sister Louella identified Amistad as the one who first shot the victim.
The witness also told police that Amistad said “Tiwasi! (finish it!)” to his accomplice after shooting Jore. – Niña Chrismae G. Sumacot/BRP (THE FREEMAN)
