Man survives shooting

CEBU – A 27-year-old construction worker was shot along the road in sitio Santo Niño, barangay Quiot, Cebu City yesterday at around 1:30 a.m.

The victim was identified as Arniel Apilan Tabacon, a native of Diras, Zamboanga City but temporarily residing in Mohon, Talisay City. 

Tabacon and his friend Reynaldo de Luna said the assailant was a certain “Noroy” Morales.

According to PO1 Lou Pagara, the victim and De Luna were resting inside a tricycle along the road while waiting for somebody.

The alleged assailant, armed with a handgun, approached and asked what they were doing. 

Tabacon left the tricycle to talk to Morales but suddenly the alleged assailant fired at victim, hitting him three times and dropping him to the ground.

Morales tried to fire another shot but he ran out of bullets. The assailant ran off as the victim and his friend also made their escape.
