CEBU - More criminal complaints have rained on a computer engineer, who was caught in a police entrapment operation last week on allegations of sexually molesting several teenage boys in barangay Luz.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development yesterday filed 13 more complaints of acts of lasciviousness, rape and child abuse before the Cebu City Prosecutors’ Office against Lewis Dacanay.
The victims, aged 7 to 15, were brought to the prosecutors’ office yesterday by barangay captain Nida Cabrera of Bario Luz and Cebu City Councilor Gerardo Carillo.
Carillo and his associate Randyll Ty will represent the complainants in the case.
Some of the victims in an interview with reporters said that Dacanay raped them and paid P500. They were allegedly also duped to pose naked in front of the camera.
Carillo said they will also be filing several complaints against Faustino Cabrera, the teacher caught molesting minors.
The prosecutor’s office yesterday elevated the case for acts of lasciviousness against Cabrera before the Regional Trial Court.
Cabrera however was already released after posting a P24,000 cash bond.
But according to Carillo, as soon as the 15 other criminal cases including rape will be filed, Cabrera will no longer be allowed to post bail.
Cabrera, a high school teacher at the University of Cebu, was also arrested by the police during an entrapment operation last Wednesday.
Cabrera and Dacanay are both accused by several teenage boys of sexually molesting them.
Dacanay and Cabrera’s modus is to ask the minors to meet them. Then they would treat them at the mall and even buy them stuff like t-shirts and other personal things.
The suspects would then bring them to a motel where they will be asked to play with their genitals, and then they would reportedly take pictures of them and in most cases allegedly rape them also.
The victims admitted they are given money by the suspects. — /NLQ (THE FREEMAN)
