CEBU – The Philippine Quality and Productivity Movement of the Visayas is set to hold its Regional Quality and Productivity Congress on October 22 to 24 at the Casino Español, Cebu City. The theme for this year’s Congress is “Practical Innovations: Turning Challenges to Opportunities” with the aim of generating more focus on quality and productivity that is vital to the success of companies in the Philippines.
The congress will be in collaboration with the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board and the Department of Trade and Industry-7.
DTI said the economy must focus on enhancing the quality of the products it produces and boosting its production as these will bring success to the economy.
Topics that will be discussed include leadership, customer and market, strategic planning, knowledge management, informational analysis, human resources and organizational results.
Different speakers from different big companies are invited to discuss on their respective topic of expertise.
Joining the congress are Timex Philippines Inc. general affairs officer Jeane Sanchez, president and CEO of Dedon Philippines Herve Lampert, Development Academy of the Philippines senior fellow Antonio Pineda and Fairchild Semiconductors Philippines Inc. Information Technology manager Benjie Gandionco.
From the Academe, Fr. Rod Salazar Jr. of the University of San Carlos Presidential Assistant for Planning and Development will be one of the speakers.
