CEBU – Starting 5 a.m. today, a rerouting of vehicles will be implemented on the affected streets in connection with the “Alay Lakad Parade 2008.”
City Traffic Operations Management, the Traffic Group, the Cebu City Police Office, and the Cebu City government wish to inform motorists and commuters that the right lane of Osmeña Boulevard from Capitol going to Sanciangko Street and the rest of Osmeña Blvd. will be closed today.
Two groups will start on different assembly areas – one at the Plaza Independencia and the other at the Cebu Provincial Capitol grounds - and will converge at the Cebu City Sports Center.
Public utility jeepneys that will be affected by the rerouting include those coming from Mabolo with route no. 03B, from Lahug with route nos. 04B, 04D, 04E, 04H, and from Apas with route nos. 17B and 17D.
Also affected are those coming from Ayala Center with route no. 14D, from Capitol with route no. 14B, and also coming from Guadalupe and Banawa with route nos. 06B, 06C, 06D, 06E, 06F and 07B, 07D, and 07E.
Further, PUJs coming from Talamban and Pit-os with route nos. 13B, 62B, 62C, and 62B and coming from Urgello with route no. 01A, Basak with route nos. 09C and 09F, Pardo/Bulacao with route nos. 10C, 10E, 10F, 10H, 10O and Labangon with route nos. 12B, 12D, 12E, 12J and 12M will also be affected.
The scheduled rerouting will also affect those coming from Urgello with route nos. 01B, 01C, 01G, 01I, 01K, Pier Area with route no. 02B, Alumnos with route nos. 08E and 08F, Basak with route no. 09G, Inayawan with route no. 11D, and Labangon with route nos. 12C, 12F, 12G, and 12I.
Also affected are those coming from Mabolo with route nos. 03A, 03G and 03L, coming from Mandaue City with route nos. 21B and 22B, and coming from South of Cebu to SM City, Ayala Center, and the North Bus Terminal.
