The Cebu Integrated Farmers’ Multi-Purpose Cooperative will be holding a back to back seminar on goat and hog raising on February 16.
The one-day seminar dubbed “Goat Fattening is now a profitable business” and “Is hog raising still a profitable business” will be held at the Department of Agriculture compound along M. Velez Street.
Goat-raising for commercial purposes used to be considered as a not profitable business venture. However, because of the efforts of the government, and private individuals, improved technologies in goat raising have been developed. Now, smart entrepreneurs saw the money-making opportunity in the industry.
Meanwhile, hog-raising, has raised many questions, especially because of the foul odor from hog farms. Ways to deal with this foul odor and other questions on the industry will be answered during the seminar.
