A recruitment agency based in Canada recently conducted a two-day training workshop for teachers and hotel supervisors to prepare future applicants who want to work in Canada.
Strategic Project Management Ltd. president Ron Gallardo said this is the first time that his company conducted a comprehensive training program intended for teachers and hotel supervisors. The training was in collaboration with the University of the Visayas College of Business Administration Hotel and Restaurant Management and was held at the UV CRID office.
Gallardo said his company conducted the training in UV because they are prioritizing UV hotel and restaurant management graduates to become a part of their agency specifically those who have related actual setting experience.
“We have already employed a couple of Filipino workers in Canada. In fact, an addition of 50 more workers are already in the process of completing their papers,” Gallardo said.
He added that the company is planning to put up an office here in Cebu to better cater to the needs of those who want to work in Canada. — Phoebe Jen Indino/QSB
