Balamban Vice Mayor Ace Stefan Binghay was elected president of the Vice Mayors’ League in the Philippines-Cebu City Chapter, replacing outgoing former Alcoy vice mayor and now mayor Nicomedes de los Santos.
The election was held yesterday at the conference center of San Miguel Corporation compound in Mandaue City. Of the 52 vice mayors in Cebu province, 42 showed up to cast their votes.
Binghay thanked his colleagues for the position they entrusted to him. He said he will do his best to represent the league in the national level.
Other elected officials of the league include Mandaue City Vice mayor Carlo Pontico Fortuna, (vice president); Talisay City Vice Mayor Lani Abarquez, (secretary); Minglanilla Vice Mayor Elanito Pena, (treasurer); Toledo Vice Mayor Aurelio Espinosa (auditor), and Dumanjug Vice Mayor Abdon Jumao-as (PRO)
The Board of Directors are Nicepuro Apura (Carcar), Antonio Canoy (San Fernando), Antonio Plando (Alcoy), Nelson Abenido (Moalboal), Augustos Moreno (Aloguinsan), Jeffrey Yapha (Pinamungajan), Michael Miranda (Medellin), Herman Antonio Bascon (San Remegio), Thelma Jordan (Liloan), Roel Morata (Poro), Ember Alinsug (Consolacion) and Rodrigo Jumao-as (Cordova).
