Victim was Jerry Amahan, a native of Alcoy town, who was lately working as a stay-in barber of a salon in the city.
Police reports stated that Amahan''s friends suspected revenge as the possible motive in the killing considering that the victim had allegedly done some wrongdoings against others in the past.
Amahan and his friends Juney Eskrima and Renato Cabamo had just came from a drinking spree and was attending a disco in the barangay when attacked, said the police.
Eskrima and Cabamo told the police that an unidentified man just passed by in front of Amahan and, moments after the man walked away, the victim fell with a stab wound in his abdomen.
The two friends, with the help of other discogoers immediately took Amahan to the Talisay City District Hospital but the attending physician declared him dead-on-arrival.
Cernie Bunghanoy, security guard of the hospital, called the Talisay City Police Station about the killing prompting homicide chief Rolly Lauron and investigator PO2 Joel Rosales to go to the crime scene to investigate. - Efmer Agustin, UP-Tacloban intern/RAE
