The killer used a .45 cal. pistol to shoot Juan Encarnacion in the head. Encarnacion, 38, was married and a native of Mabinay, Negros Oriental.
His assailant, with his face covered and wearing a motorcycle helmet, appeared relaxed after the killing.
Before walking back to join an accomplice on a motorcycle not far from the scene, the man advised witnesses to refrain from following him.
Police can't tell whether the execution was done to settle scores or it was the handiwork of vigilantes. - Gregg M. Rubio
