Vice Governor Gregorio Sanchez Jr recently issued a memorandum to Provincial Board members and the board secretary asking them to monitor closely the compliance of his directives.
Sanchez told Governor Gwen Garcia during a meeting that he received reports that some employees have been using their office hours watching lewd shows, and downloading videos and music that affected the proper usage of the Capitol's Internet.
Sanchez also said he was informed about the presence of children of employees loitering in government offices, and of employees contracting outside service for nail grooming during office hours.
Garcia agreed that her office has been receiving also a number of complaints regarding the presence of children of employees freely roaming and playing around the Capitol corridors during working hours.
She said she already issued last week a memorandum to all department heads and employees to stop taking their children to their respective offices to prevent work distraction or disruption.
"This concern affects in one way or another the desired quality of public service that we wish to deliver to our constituents," Garcia said in her memorandum. - Jose P. Sollano
