Police identified the suspect as Jovel Pesquerra, who fired four times but missed the victims as they immediately ran for cover.
The victims, Robert Tanada, 40, and his workers Romel Caburnay, 23, and Efren Gitalda, 16, claimed that the suspect came to their stall drunk and immediately fired upon them using his .38 revolver.
Tanada said that Pesquerra harbored a grudge on him over their business rivalry inside the market where they both have stalls.
Responding policemen arrested Pesquerra and confiscated his firearm.
The suspect, who is presently detained at the Balamban Police Station, is now facing three cases of frustrated homicide filed by the victims yesterday afternoon. - Emerald Dann L. Labay
