These power interruptions, VECO said, is due to the scheduled upgrading and maintenance of its primary lines.
Today, barangays Tabunan, Taptap, Pung-ol Sibugay, Babag, Malubog, Bonbon, Busay and portions of Sudlon II, Buot Taup, Sinsin, Kalunasan, Apas, Lahug, Kasambagan and Barrio Luz will experience power interruptions from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. as VECO will reconstruct the 69 kilovolt line attachment along J. Panis Street at its Banilad 311 and 312 feeders.
Scheduled replacement of rotten poles and line maintenance will also cause brownouts in Liloan town, specifically in barangay San Vicente from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and in barangay Cotcot from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
On Sunday, VECO will be upgrading the poles and lines at its Calamba and Cantao-an, Minglanilla feeders, which will result to lack of power in some portions of barangay Guadalupe from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and barangays of Mandulang, Vito and Tubod in Minglanilla from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The relocation of its 69KV pole along its Ermita-Pardo link will also cause brownouts in Talisay City, Minglanilla, San Fernando, and Naga towns from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Parts of Pardo, Bulacao, Inayawan, Cogon, V. Rama Avenue, N. Bacalso Avenue, Tres de Abril, Urgello, Sambag, B. Aranas and Spolarium would also be affected. - Wenna A. Berondo
