Everyone was all agog when Marco Polo Plaza Hotel brought to Cebu Culinary Journeys – Bicolandia in cooperation with the Department of Tourism Region V and Cebu Pacific.
Starting last April 20, Cebuanos experienced the flavors of Bicol at Marco Polo Plaza Hotel, featuring the expertise of Chef Doy Sto. Domingo of Naga City, Bicol. At this media launch, members of the media with special guest Mayor Michael Rama, satiated their palate with masiram (delicious) Bicol Express, coconut infused Pinangat, Inulokan, Pininyahang Manok sa Gata, Paella Bicolana, Kalderetang Suanoy, Lapulapu sa Buko soup which was yummy, and Guisadong Pancit sa Bato. Desserts were Mazapan de Pili, Binutong na Latik, Pili Tart, Angko and the most exotic – Chili ice cream that prompted former Region VII Director Dawnie Roa to ask for water!
Now, get off your seats and come to Marco Polo Plaza’s Café Marco and savor the best of Bicolandia’s Culinary Journeys; satiate your palate with the delicious (nor sooo hot!) dishes from Bicol. Remember, tomorrow is the last day of the Bicol fest. Make your reservations now and experience Bicol’s spicy but tolerable authentic dishes!

David’s Steak House. Don’t go to David’s expecting décor of bulls or rodeo on the walls. The graywhite paint with simple décor is as pretentious, and white napery, fine silverware, sparkling mirrors, well-spaced tables and fresh flowers help make up one of the more felicitous settings in town.
A gentleman who has already enjoyed plenty of distinction in this burg as having the best steak, David Ugarte still seems determined to add new dimension to his well-savored steak.
At David’s, savor the U.S. Angus Rib Eye (450 gms) at P1, 180 only with sidings, and sure enough, you’ll come back asking for more. David’s also serve Lobster Bisque, Angus New York striploin for only P890, and best of all, David’s also serves Ostrich Steak fillet, Lamb shank braised in red wine and fresh Oyster on the half shell. You’ll really enjoy your lunch or dinner at David’s.
By the way, David’s steak house is located right across Sarrosa Hotel in F. Cabahug Street.
