For the second time, we attended Mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles, CA. The Mass was intended for a friend who was marking a milestone.
As the Mass was going on, celebrated by a Filipino priest (we failed to get his name), the huge electric organ was played and music reverberated beautifully throughout the whole church. We had goosebumps because of the solemnity of the rituals; we left like crying.
Do you know that there is a mausoleum under the cathedral with burial places available to everyone? The mausoleum is a welcoming place of prayer and spiritual refuge for reflection and renewal. Interment rights in the cathedral mausoleum provide a sacred witness to God’s promise of Resurrection; and a place in the cathedral mausoleum certainly celebrates what one stood for in life. And lastly, easy payment plans are available.
And with everything there is, the cathedral has a gift shop where you enjoy browsing and shopping from pins to ballpens and framed saints, and a number of devotional books written especially by Catholic authors.

By the way, a while ago, we were in Goldilocks in Cerritos City and who do you think I met? Efren Peñaflorida, the 2009 CNN Hero who had a show at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Groove, CA. A lot of Pinoys had their pictures taken with Efren; in fact, we also had one but it went pfft.
