Edgar Kaw, a true-blue Cebuano and son of the owners of Universal Lumber in Mandaue City, marked his birthday with a Chinese dinner in Cerritos City. His lovely wife Gemmar and children Abigail and Alister were in dancing attendance as Edgar turned all of 50 years young. His cousins from Cagayan de Oro City, Danny and Ruby Ramos with son Donne Ricco (grandchildren of the wealthy Lim Ket Kai of that pineapple city) who live in Bakersfield, drove all the way just to attend this all-important event in Edgar’s life…his 50th birth anniversary.
On the other hand, Karl Lewis, husband of Emma Du (she is also from Cebu), celebrated his 50thbirthday joyously with cousins and relatives from Dallas and more especially the members of Habhab group in perfect attendance. Actually, these relatives from Dallas hit two birds with one stone as they came to commemorate the first death anniversary of their brod-in-law David and to be with cousin Emma during the big day of Karl. And the best thing there was…they brought a big whole lechon from LA roasted by a guy from Talisay named Boy. Like the lechon we have in Cebu, it was so tasty and yummy. Yeah, no cholesterol!
Both guys were very happy during their separate celebrations…they counted their blessings as they reached half of the century…now…50. Congratulations and may you both have more birthdays to come!
