CEBU, Philippines - LOHAS Cosmetic and Skin Care Centre along Paseo Saturnino, Maria Luisa Estate Park Road in Banilad had its opening (blessing and inauguration) last May 10 with the presence of Governor Gwendolyn Garcia and Mayor Michael Rama.
Dr. Cora-Lou Kintanar, dermatology consultant, on behalf of the center's president Jae Hoon Park, Park's wife Sunok Seo, and mother Jamsook Kim; chief communications officer Jae Young Park and chief manager Wendy Lee, explained that LOHAS is an acronym for Lifestyle of Health and Sustainability.
"This is because the center strongly advocates a healthy lifestyle intertwined with environmental conservation - as with the use of the best Korean organic products - to protect and sustain health," Dr. Kintanar said.
The center is a foreign branch of LOHAS CheongDam M Skin Clinic which is one of the top skin care clinics in Korea. It was pointed out also that this one in Cebu is the first in the Philippines.
"LOHAS is committed to the pursuit of excellence by offering the latest, most sophisticated skin care programs," Dr. Kintanar went on. "More important, LOHAS imbues confidence and joy among its clients knowing that they have beautiful skin."
In addition, it was emphasized that it is the mission and vision of the company to fulfill the expectations for constant, highly professional customer service.
"LOHAS strives, together with local society, to become the leader and model of global cosmetic and skin care center. It provides all customers with optimum skin care programs using world-class, up-to-date skin care technology in the hands of the best skin care professionals," an official statement read.
After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the owners and their trained staff led guests to view the laser room, facial rooms, as well as post-treatment rooms. From there, guests were given an upclose and personal experience with various state-of-the-art machines. Adipose-7000, for one, is a world leader in obesity treatment technology and interesting products like the anti-cellulite and vita oil, and treatment for skin nightmares like melasma, acne and wrinkles.
Furthermore, Dr. Kintanar said that the LOHAS spirit of corporate social responsibility aims to carry out free medical community service, offer scholarships to deserving Filipinos, and sponsor KoPino activities and local relief work for the overall upholding of welfare and wellness.
