The Aboitizland Kishanta Photoblog Contest

CEBU, Philippines - Shutterbugs are currently enjoying the refreshing breezes at Kishanta in Talisay City, clicking away for the best images of the beautiful hilltop village of AboitizLand, Inc. The AboitizLand Kishanta Photoblog Competition has attracted over 50 photographers.

The period for taking pictures ends today, July 12. AboitizLand, Inc. is accepting entries at its office at Paseo Uno, Ma. Luisa Road, Banilad,Cebu City until 5:00 p.m. today.

The contest is open to all professional and amateur digital photographers. Entries may be submitted in CD format or sent electronically to Catherine.Relosa@aboitizland.com as HD/HQ images at 300 dpi in jpeg or tiff files.

As Kishanta is a design masterpiece with a wealth of breathtaking scenery, photographers will not want for awe-inspiring subjects.

Images may convey the community’s architecture, its lifestyle, landscaping and Zen inspiration. Pictures must definitely be identifiable as being taken in the village or a part of it.   Images may also include human elements in natural or candid situations. A brief description of the image or subject and information on the date and time that the photo was taken, must be attached to the entry.

Minor digital enhancements such as color correction across the frame, dodge and burn and levels and curves adjustment may be introduced. Cropping and cloning are allowed to a minimal degree, but not superimposition of any elements.

Judging and awarding of winners will be held on July 21, 2010 at the Ground level of SM City Cebu. Three of Cebu’s renowned photographers will rate the entries: Graphic designer, painter and fine arts educator Jessie Saclo, Sun-Star Cebu Chief of Photographers Alex Badayos and multi-awarded photographer, director and composer Lemuel Arrogante.

Contest entries will be available for public viewing from July 21 to 27 at the Ground level of SM City Cebu (right in front of Golden Cowrie) during mall hours. The limited public viewing period is AboitizLand’s celebration of the Kishanta community.

Winning entries will also be posted on the AboitizLand website www.aboitizland.com and the official Facebook lifestyle page “Made for Life”. PR
