Smart's story telling program benefits kids from Dumaguete and Bohol

CEBU, Philippines - This year, two new schools benefited from Smart Communications Read to be Smart Summer Storytelling and Feeding Program. These were Catarman Elementary School in Dauis, Bohol and Maslog Elementary School of Sibulan, Negros Oriental.

In Bohol, Smart partnered with Holy Name University, while in Negros Oriental, St. Paul University Dumaguete was chosen by Smart as their partner.

The young graders spent their Saturdays in school listening to exciting folk stories read by student volunteers from either HNU or SPUD. They were then given snacks prepared by parent volunteers.

In order to equip the student volunteers with the skills to make story telling more exciting for kids, they were trained with the Silid Aralan Technology.
