The Marco Polo Plaza Stages 3rd Annual Bridal Fair

CEBU, Philippines – As Cebu City’s only 5-star hotel, the Marco Polo Plaza takes pride in being an innovator of trendsetting ideas and memorable events that have now become annual traditions. Soiree Beaujolais, Oktoberfest, and its New Year’s Countdown are among the many successful events up here on Nivel Hills.

Last 18th and 19th of April, the Marco Polo Plaza once again opened its doors for grooms and brides-to-be with its 3rd annual bridal fair, “Weddings at the Marco Polo Plaza,” with the 2009 title “New Beginnings.” Couples planning their wedding got a chance to meet the best designers, stylists, florists, photographers, jewelry makers, cake designers and other wedding professionals in one place, at one time.

In line with this year’s focus on the “Summer Bride”, Marco Polo Plaza’s wedding set-ups featured the “Filipiniana Theme” with orange color motif, capiz placemats and native hats décor; “Beach Theme” with blue color motif, coconut tree, sand, starfish and seashells; and the Presidential Table with a formal setting in beige and gold.

For the second year in a row, the Marco Polo Plaza partnered with the Cebu City Civil Registrar’s Office and the Cebu City Health Office to bring future brides and grooms to the bridal fair. Selected couples applying for a marriage license in March and April had their pre-marriage seminars for family planning and other related matters hosted in the air-conditioned comfort of the Marco Polo Plaza.

Event Partners Wedding Essentials and Joyful Weddings also conducted short seminars on Wedding topics such as etiquette, styling, make-up and planning, with renowned make-up artist & Emphasis Salon owner Victor Ortega and former beauty queen, Ford Supermodel & image consultant, Abbygale Arenas.
