The recently concluded 1st Inter-Call Center/BPOs Bowling Tournament was a big success. Organized by CSC Advertising and D’che Spa Salon in cooperation with Y101, Globe, Pepsi, Citigym, Gaisano Country Mall and Gaisano Bowlingplex, the five-weekend tourney was held at the Gaisano Bowlingplex in Banilad with 18 participating teams. The well-conceptualized event was a perfect venue for all the call center agents, executives and colleagues to bond among themselves all in the spirit of camaraderie. After all, these hardworking individuals need activities like this to give themselves a break from their “unconventional” work schedules and yes, stressful (but actually, fun) jobs.
Emerging as victors for the team category were: Icomm Team 2, Champion; Icomm Team 1, 1st Runner-up; Qualfon Team 1, 2nd Runner-up and Qualfon Team 5, 3rd Runner-up. For the individual category: Ms. Lynette Inso of Bigfoot, Highest Pointer-Female Category and Mr. Justin Arieta of Eperformax, Highest Pointer-Male Category. Of course everything was perfectly in order despite the last minute changes of schedule due to the availability of the team players through the dynamic Gaisano Bowlingplex Manager Elvis Lee and his staff. One of the highlights during the opening ceremonies after the welcoming speech of CSC Advertising’s dynamic head Jojo Colinares, was the selection of Ms. D’che, the fairest among the beautiful muses of the participating teams. Composing the board of judges were: Cebu City Mariott Hotel’s PR Manager Joan Danao, Zee Lifestyle Magazine Editor Cybil Gayatin, Lead PT of Citygym Allan Acas and General Manager of Alcordo Advertising Me’anne Alcordo-Solomon as chairman. The lucky lady that night was Floramae Dal of Qualfon.
Complementing the fun event was a job fair among some of the participating call centers/BPOs including Qualfon, Eperformax, Western Wats, Sykes and 1 & 1 which took place at the parking lot of Gaisano Country Mall for two days. It certainly gave jobseekers around the area a chance to present themselves for positions offered by these companies.
Due to the success of the bowling tourney, Dom Caluag of CSC Advertising and Sonny Pollescas, the event coordinator, immediately set on the drawing board a second leg which hopefully will happen soon. I learned that this time, it will be a bigger and more exciting one with other activities in store which they will announce in the next few days. Well, that’s something we definitely are all looking forward to! Congratulations to all the winners and of course to CSC Advertising and D’che Spa Salon!
