Mazda zoom-zooms to Cebu

Cebu has almost been synonymous with the mouth-watering lechon, the historic Magellan’s Cross, the local guitar industry and the mother of all festivals—Sinulog. Cebu is also and being hailed as the” Queen City of the South” because of its robust trade, commerce and industry. Japanese car manufacturer Mazda now zoom zooms its way to the Cebuano market.

Zoom-Zoom is presented to Cebu via style, spirit and innovation through the introduction of the multi-awarded car brand Mazda as it opens its first dealership and the company’s first branch outside Metro Manila in the booming metropolis.

“We are delighted to open Mazda in Cebu, and to serve the good number of Cebu customers who have brought in their Mazdas to the city. And we are likewise looking forward to formally introduce our products to everyone else,” said Gerry Alejandro, Mazda Philippines Managing Director.

Composed of about 1, 200 square meters of lot area, Mazda Cebu’s showroom has a huge potential for their Cebu operation, being located at the North reclamation area, one of the city’s most dynamic business districts.

Their newest showroom operated under Mazda Cebu Incorporated, Mazda showcases their top three car models such as the best-selling and multi-awarded Mazda3 with 67 awards under its belt, their flagship vehicle with bragging rights of 120 awards and was named the Philippines’ 2005 Car of the Year by the Car Awards Group, , and also the Mazda Tribute, 2005 Best Entry Level SUV in the Philippines.

With these three exciting Mazdas in tow, Cebuanos are now one in saying: “Maayong pag-abot sa Sugbo!”

Car enthusiasts and VIPs composed of Cebu’s top figures in politics, business, society and academe were present during the launching held recently at the Mazda Cebu showroom in Juan Luna Street. Executives from Ford Philippines, Mazda’s management arm in the country, were also present to grace the momentous occasion.
