Food for the Soul 2

In line with the norms that man shall not feed the need of his body but also nourish his soul, the Golden Courie Native Restaurant in cooperation with the Cebu Artists Incorporated will open an art exhibit entitled Food for the Soul 2 today at 2:30p.m. at their main restaurant at Salinas Drive, Lahug.

Golden Cowrie Native Restaurant opened its door for art exhibit last year. The act of support is their own little way of showing their utmost belief in the competitiveness and vast talents of our local artists. Known for  excellence in native cuisine, they not only look for ways to satisfy the taste requirements of their clientele but also foster a continuing linkage with the Cebuano artists to provide nourishment to the soul of their growing customers.

Food for the Soul 2 is a sequel to the first exhibit initiated and participated by the officers and members of Cebu Artists Incorporated in the middle of last year.

Food for the Soul 2 hopes to provide a continuing appreciation and acceptance to the creative outputs of our local talents; create a venue for the public to develop and deepen their art awareness; encourages an interaction and marriage of ideas between the viewer and the artists; and to provide the exhibiting artists a suitable venue to propagate and promote their individual artistic ideals.

Participating artists for this exhibit are: Pronnie Cerna, John Dinglasa, Benji Goyha, Jun Impas, Fe Madrid Pepito, Celso Duazo Pepito, Ritchie Quijano, Lurline Rodriguez, Antio Vidal, Jobril Villaver and Sonia Yrastorza.

Gracing the opening ceremony of Food for the Soul 2 as guest of honor are Mrs. Robin Aboitiz, Mrs. Ella Kimseng, Mr. Devin Go and Mr. Leo Tacke.

The exhibit runs until November 19, 2007.
