Dinner for Krua Thai's media friends. General Manager Anthony Ballreich and wife Cheryl played hosts at an authentic Thai dinner honoring five March birthday celebrators: The Freeman's Mayen Angbetic Tan, Sunstar's Nelia Neri, Jo Magsaysay and Roger Serna, and CDN's Jonas Panerio. Anthony's Chef made some special dishes not yet included on their regular menu that consisted of all-seafood concoctions: fruit and vegetable salad (oh-so-delicious), finely chopped prawn soup (spicy, too), Thai noodle (imported noodles from Bangkok), Thai fried rice, large crabs with coconut milk but plenty of red hot pepper, and so many more kinds. Sorry, everybody seemed to enjoy the food except me who's allergic to spicy food. But Anthony was so thoughtful to have his Chef sautéed shrimps with broccoli for me. And it was good!
It was held at the spanking new spacious conference room, tastefully decorated with every little thing from Bangkok. Our dinner gathering was made more remarkable with a table setting having white napery, fine silverware and huge wineglasses, plus fresh flowers on tall vases. It can't help but consider it to be one of the most felicitous settings we ever seen. Thanks, Anthony for the superb dinner.
