The Wedding of the Season

The groom is the youngest son of well-respected couple Enrique and Lulu Aboitiz, while the bride is the only child of Douglas and Annabelle Luym, one of Cebu's most influential couple.

It was a dream of a wedding where perfection was evident in every aspect. The church décor of white dendrubiums and calla lilies highlighted with lush evergreen ferns and asparagus was done by surely the best interior designer, Rosebud Sala.

Amanda was truly a lovely bride in an exclusive Monique Lhuillier creation of full satin skirt topped with a lace bolero. Doting mom Annabelle lovingly put the cascading bouquet together.

The principal sponsors in their choice of colors looked their best in designer gowns and the men were equally dashing in dark tailored suits. They were: the groom's uncle Luis Aboitiz and his wife Annabelle, brother Endika Aboitiz and his wife Valeria, dear friends of the family Eduardo and Gretchen Cojuangco, the groom's siblings Erramon and Eukene Aboitiz, the bride's uncle David Lu and the groom's aunt Carol Diaz.

Iker's cousin Marcelino Ugarte was his best man while Amanda's cousin Maria de la Caridad Moras was Maid of Honor. Groomsmen were John Unchuan, Nicolas Paradies and Antonio Aboitiz. Anna Thelmo, Candice Gotianuy and Ma. Cristina Villarreal were bridesmaids.

The reception at the Atlantic Hall of the Waterfront Hotel, which was transformed into a tent gathering area covered with a profusion of greens, accentuated by spring blooms in every imaginable color. The whole setting was awesome, unmistakably a work of art by Cebu's foremost event planner par excellence Teresin Mendezona, ably assisted by top florist Pinky Chang and talented landscaper Jaime Chua.
