Governor Gwendolyn Garcia sent us a formal invitation on the occasion of the 437th Founding anniversary of the province of Cebu today, August 5, 2006 at six in the evening to be held at the Capitol Social Hall. Cocktails will follow.

The American Chamber of Commerce Cebu celebrated its annual Fil-US fellowship dinner to reinforce the long-standing cross-cultural ties between the Americans and the Filipinos. The affair used a Hollywood theme delineated by a colorful production number by the USJ-R performers doing a medley of Grease and There's no Business Like Show Business. Event chair was Karl Hudson, Program director was Dr. Mila Espina, who also co-hosted the show with Michael Go. Game and raffle hosts were Cherrypie Callero and Maris Araneta. Guest performer was Angela Calina. Congratulations to AMCHAM president Stan Combs and the officers for a well-coordinated affair. Raffle prizes included printers from Lexmark, Timex watches, roundtrip ticket from Continental Airlines, Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, Northwest Airlines, furniture from Pacific Traders, overnight stays from Cebu's leading hotels and resorts.
