Talk 'n Text AnniverSaya rocks Cebu

Talk 'n Text rocked Cebu's party scene when it brought to the Queen City of the South the "Talk 'n Text 6th AnniverSaya" last May 20 at the Cebu City Sports Complex. The travelling party (it had wowed audiences in Cagayan de Oro, La Union, and Naga City), was conceived to thank the phone company's subscribers for their loyalty through the years.

The celebration kicked off with the simultaneous motorcade around the city participated by the network's celebrity endorsers and the opening of the AnniverSaya fun booths in the party venue. The Cebu City Sports Center was transformed into a fantasy land called "Anniversaya Land" complete with fantasy characters, fun games and treats. Old and new subscribers alike braved the scorching sun to see their favorite stars and play the different games laid out for them: Big Dice, Stick Fight, Tumbang Lata and Giant Basketball at the ANNI-land; Haircut, Henna Tattoo and Face Painting at VER-land; Shoot the Loops, Tic-Tac-Toe, Sumo Wrestling and Pick Up Sticks at the SAYA-land. The Cebuanos also showed their different talents in the Magic Sing Challenge, Dance Competition, Todo-Acting Challenge and Battle of the Bands.

The fun continued on to evening with the most-awaited Talk 'n Text AnniverSAYA party where Tuesday Vargas, Maureen Larrazabal, Dominic Ochoa, Marvin Agustin, Vhong Navarro, Jr. Kilat and Sugarfree took turns performing on stage. Seeing these stars alone already makes an avid fan happy but some people are just too lucky. Some of those who were at the AnniverSAYA fete went home with beautiful prizes in hand: Novy G. Baylosis & Kenneth Latonio (electric fan), Grace Bacatan (grocery showcase), Renato Mier (Bird cellphone), Geremias Oclarit (VCD), Myrna Otero (DVD), Bernabe Mag-usura (Motorola cellphone), Juvy L. Pestaño (kitchen showcase), Manuel Ougno (flat TV), and Joaquin F. Lozano (scooter).

The party had all the ingredients that make up an unforgettable experience but what made it doubly sentimental for those who were there is the fact that a company as big as Talk 'n Text has not forgotten the people who has helped them achieve unprecedented success. - Marie Isobel S. Ngujo
