Bong Revilla hoping to break his box office record with ‘Si Agimat, Si Enteng at si Ako’

Senator Ramon  “Bong” Revilla is confident that his latest collaboration with Bossing Vic Sotto titled Si Agimat, Si Enteng at si Ako (which also stars Judy Ann Santos) has the makings of a winner at the box-office.

“I have seen the whole movie when I dubbed for it and I am happy to tell you that this film would appeal to all types of audiences, of all ages, shapes and sizes,” said the good-looking senator of this movie that is produced by five producers (M-Zet, GMA Films, OctoArts Films, APT Entertainment and Imus Productions). Sen. Bong says they are hoping to breach the P300+ million in terms of box-office take for the second edition of Si Agimat at Enteng Kabisote which became box-office champion at the 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival.

Bong reprises his role as Agimat, who comes from the world of Amulato and is the acknowledged defender and hero. He is a great warrior who after marrying Samara (played by Sam Pinto) decided to stay in the mortal world together with the family of Enteng Kabisote to experience normal family life.

For Bong and his co-producers, the amazing cost of production they put into this movie is not an issue as long as they are able to give the best movie that has high entertainment value and imparts a positive message that will surely last beyond the season. The movie costs a fortune for the following reasons and more: Locations in the most spectacular places in the Northern part of the Philippines and elsewhere, dedicated sound stages during actual filming, CGI effects done abroad—talk about giving value for moviegoer’s money.

Sam Pinto is very happy to be part again of Si Agimat, Si Enteng at Si Ako where she gets reunited with Sen. Bong Revilla who plays her husband. “I am honored to be working not only with Sen. Bong but with Bossing Vic (Sotto) and Ms. Judy Ann Santos. Here, the focus of the story is on the family of Agimat because we got married na and are starting a family. But we had some sort of problem when the character of Juday came into the picture,” related Sam.

How was it working with Sen. Bong for the second time? “Mas masaya kasi mas kilala ko na siya kaya mas comfortable kami working together. This is one shooting where I am very much excited na puntahan every day. We even shot in Ilocos, in the sand dunes. Ang ganda ng lugar kaya lang ang init sa location. Ayoko na bumalik doon,” Sam said with a laugh.

She likewise said that the filmfest parade of stars is happening on December 23, not on Christmas as it was the tradition. “Two years ago when I joined the parade, I really wanted to go home na kasi Noche Buena pero nasa parade pa kami. As of now, I am just planning to spend Christmas at home. I think my mom has no plans of getting out of the house on the 24th. On the 25th, I will spend it with my dad,” she said. Sam is happy that she is able to celebrate with her parents who had been separated since she was 6.

Happening tonight at The Arena located at the Mall of Asia is the first major concert of  “Mash-up Queen” Ate Gay (Gil Morales in real life), an unabashed fan of Superstar Nora Aunor. And he knows he has a big challenge up his sleeves to draw the crowd at the venue where Jennifer Lopez had a successful concert last Monday.

“I am nervous because I am coming after JLo but I consider it a big honor to perform at The Arena together with my idols in showbiz. I am happy and overwhelmed with this chance,” said Ate Gay.

But is he ready? “I always say that I am ready. I am just waiting for the day of the concert and for the people to come and watch,” said Ate Gay in our interview at the presscon of his concert titled Ako Naman: Ate Gay Sa Arena.

“I have been very happy and upbeat for everyday. We have been rehearsing for two weeks and I can say that I am ready. But I can’t help but think of the pressure. Yun bang gusto mong matulog nang maaga pero umaga na di ka pa makatulog kasi naiisip mo ang concert, what I am going to do and if there would be people to watch. Kasi nakita ko ang concert ni Regine (Velasquez) tapos ni JLo,  nakakakaba, di ba? Please patulugin mo naman ako,” she said.

He’s looking forward for today’s big event and is praying that it won’t rain. And that people would come.“Excited na ako na mapanood ng mga tao ang inihanda namin na entertainment para sa kanilang lahat. At ito ang araw na dapat nilang panoorin. Ayoko na magbuhat ng sariling bangko pero I want to tell them na hindi sila magsisisi sa panonood,” said the Mash-up queen.

Joining Ate Gay sa Arena are The Company, Aiza Seguerra, Aegis, Anton Diva, Allan K and the Talentadings, X-Factor, John “Sweet” Lapus, Sexbomb and our one and only superstar Ms. Nora Aunor.

Ate Gay said the number they prepared with Ate Guy is something special and should not be missed. Likewise, the opening number is spectacular and should not be missed so she urges those who are watching not to be late.

The concert is produced by That’s Ntertainment Productions and is directed by Philip Lazaro and Andrew de Real.
