CEBU, Philippines - Education is always a great word to know. And so is knowledge. The youngest of all female candidates, John Lyn Christie Espina truly understands the importance of it. At 16, she knows that education develops in us a perspective of looking at life.
At a very young age, John Lyn is aware about the crisis of education in the Philippines. And her academic awareness and information helps her develop and solidify her point of views on education. This is the very reason why she wants to become a teacher in the future.
“Education goes beyond the classroom. It is about the lessons in life. I always love to be an Elementary teacher in the future. I have this desire to teach and share my knowledge to children. Also, building right values help children grow happy and confident. Teaching them to be responsible would be the greatest adventure in my life,” John Lyn explained.
Beauty pageant is not something new to John Lyn. She has joined Mutya ng Paknaan and Miss Cubacub. She has also joined pageants in school. John Lyn is currently a 4th year High School student in University of Cebu. She enjoys dancing, reading books, and playing badminton. But joining beauty pageants is her passion.
John Lyn said that she joined the search for Olive-C Campus Model because she likes to share her talent to the people and stand as an example to many students especially to those who have hidden talents. She wants to inspire them and develop self-confidence in them to show their talents to the world. Beauty pageants also help her learn more about herself. But, above all, it is becoming a teacher that really inspires her to live life to the fullest.
“Teaching has always been my passion. I can imagine myself teaching in front of my students in the future. I can’t wait to finish my High School studies and enroll myself in Elementary Education. I will strive hard to be a role model to my students. I want to inspire them,” John Lyn said. (FREEMAN)
