She’s back in the country for less than a week, but Nora Aunor has lost no time preparing for her re-entry into showbiz.
Her punishing schedule included a meeting with TV5 bigwigs to discuss her joining the network, and an appearance in her dear friend German Moreno’s show and the countless interviews. Today Nora will be officially introduced as the newest Kapatid star in “Superstar Grand Fans Day” hosted by TV5.
That was quite a welcome she got at the airport. Several hundred Noranians braved the rain to see their idol once again. They waved banners and chanted “Nora! Nora! Nora!” Among them was Justice Secretary Leila de Lima who like Nora hails from Iriga, Camarines Sur.
Because she is a US resident, Nora has just three months to finish all her commitments here before returning to California. That means she will have to cram in a movie project and a teleserye into her schedule. Her comeback film will be El Presidente, which is about the revolutionary leader Emilio Aguinaldo. Nora is cast as Maria Agoncillo, Aguinaldo’s wife. Tikoy Aguiluz will direct.
Her schedule, however, doesn’t include any recording stints; Nora is still nursing her vocal cords back to health after that unfortunate cosmetic surgery in Japan. Singing will too strenuous for her, so that at the moment is out of the question.
Nora, however, is open to doing a movie with Governor Vilma Santos. The film rivals did only three movies together.
