“Piging” on GMA’s SNBO
On GMA-7, SNBO presents “PIGING” – a one hour documentary on dishes that are significant in the life of Rizal.
Commonly referred to as a feast to celebrate a special occasion, “PIGING” will feature dishes that the national hero loved and those that were featured in his novel Noli Me Tangere. But beyond the celebration of his birthday, PIGING seeks to reintroduce Rizal to the current generation of Filipino people through a universal medium – food.
The discussions on the food preparation will shed light on the type of world Rizal lived in, his relationships and his values.
Hosted by Cesar Montano, “PIGING” will be graced by historians, Rizal biographers, Rizal’s descendants and those of his close friends. (FREEMAN)
