CEBU, Philippines - Pound for Pound king Manny Pacquiao will be collaborating with American action star Steven Seagal for a movie, according to a GMA 7 news report yesterday.
The movie will be based on the life story of Pacquiao, Seagal was quoted as saying, and will be shot partly in the Philippines. It is not yet clear what role will Seagal take in the film.
Before Seagal, there were already other American stars who have had expressed interest to collaborate on a film with Pacman, and these included “Rambo” star Sylvester Stallone. There were also reports that said that WWE grappler Dave Batista and Pacman will be joining forces in a kung fu movie.
So far, the Seagal-Pacman project is the one that’s taking concrete form, as they have already announced it through a presscon in Los Angeles, where Pacman is currently in to promote “The Event” on March 13 which pits him against Ghana’s tough former champion Joshua Clottey for his World Boxing Organization welterweight title.
Pacman is also in the US to receive the Fighter of the Decade award by the Boxing Writers Association of America.
