GMA Network launches TV plug for 2nd half offerings in 2009

CEBU, Philippines – GMA Network celebrates 59 years of success with the loudest drumbeat that cheers “Greater and Grateful at 59.” And to address the loyal stream of Kapuso viewers with beaming gratitude, GMA announces its new primetime shows in the second half of 2009 via a special TV plug.

The 90-seconder plug features the biggest Kapuso stars who will take the lead in the new primetime offerings. The TV plug will showcase themes of love, goodness, anxiety, hope, and trust.

The celebrated Mexicanovela Rosalinda gets its Filipino flavor with fresh star Carla Abellana. In the plug, she walks through an alley showered with petals towards love interest Geoff Eigenmann (Fernando Jose). Together, they make a promising pair. This will be airing in July.

Meanwhile, Kapuso primetime superstar Marian Rivera soars to even unimaginable heights while clad in a wonder two-piece costume as Darna. Marian was handpicked by the Network to revive the all-time favorite komiks character. The highly acclaimed Survivor Philippines, on the other hand, carries on its second season this August, still with A-1 host Paolo Bediones. He ushers the chosen castaways on board a helicopter to tease Survivor fanatics.

Meanwhile, Kapuso’s charm Dingdong Dantes stands as the male opposite in Stairway to Heaven. He goes through a carnival of thoughts, but remains hopeful in the game of love.

Telebabad’s pride Richard Gutierrez is the male lead in Full House. Away from his usual hype for action, this one finds him thrilled for family, love, and a long lasting relationship.

The omnibus plug is directed by GMA AVP for Post Production Operations Paul Ticzon. Multi-awarded cinematographer and GMA VP for Post Production Ding Achacoso is the director of photography, while Vince Gealogo served as assistant director. Ingrid Navarro from GMA Post stood as producer.

The campaign was conceptualized by the creative team of GMA’s Program Support led by GMA VP for Program Support Regie Bautista, project manager Hasmin Marable, associate creative director Dino Garcia, copywriter BJ Camaya, and art director Reybert Ramos.
