Not completely recovered from her recent break-up with her non-showbiz beau, Heart Evangelista has declared a time-out from romance. “For the first time, I don’t want to have a boyfriend,” says Heart, who is returning to GMA 7 after a hiatus of two months. “Anyway, I’m still young – 24 – so I want to have time for myself. My priority is myself. I want to have time for myself, my family, dreams and aspirations.”
She said she has matured because of what she has gone through. Her next love will be someone who is not necessarily rich, as long as he’s “hardworking, treats my family well and will love me.”
She laughs off rumors that she and her ex, Jericho Rosales, are back together. They’ve settled their differences, she says, but they’re far from resuming their old relationship. “Past is past. I’m happy for him.”
Is there a chance that she and JC de Vera, her co-star in GMA-7’s afternoon serial, Ngayon at Kailanman, could hit it off? “That won’t happen. At this point, I’m not interested in anyone.”

Aljur Abrenica is the latest showbiz talent to get into trouble with the law. The teen star was summoned by the National Bureau of Investigation last week to answer a complaint of acts of lasciviousness filed by a 13-year-old girl. The girl claims that Aljur had made sexual advances at her in Puerto Galera last Holy Week.

Nay Lolit Solis says she had to skip two press conferences last week because she might steal the thunder from the stars who are supposed to be the focus of attention in those events.
Tita Lolit has become a prime news source for the latest developments in the sex video scandal. And during the presscon for Sarah Geronimo, the reporters flocked to Tita Lolit to hear her side after Dr. Hayden Kho’s mother fired a broadside at her on the television evening news.
The scandal shows no signs of waning. Last week Dr. Kho and Katrina Halili went to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency to be tested for banned substances. Both tested negative for any illegal drugs. The results go against the testimony of Kho before the Senate two weeks ago that he and Katrina had taken the designer drug ecstasy while they were videoed having sex.
The findings also corroborate Katrina’s claim that she had never taken illegal drugs.
The test however is not conclusive since the remaining traces of any drug might not show up anymore because so much time has passed.
Last week it was the turn of Hayden’s ex-barkada Eric Chua to go on television and tell his side. Chua turned the tables on Dr. Vicki Belo, saying it was the celebrity cosmetic doctor who is responsible for the appearance of the sex videos on the Internet.
The plot thickens.

My heart goes out to Susan Boyle, who shot to fame with her moving rendition of I Dreamed a Dream on Britain’s Got Talent. She has become a victim of her own fame. The 48-year-old Scottish spinster eventually lost out to a dance troupe, Diversity, in the show’s final, and was whisked to a clinic suffering from exhaustion.
Two months ago, Boyle was living a quiet life as a church volunteer. Then she stunned everyone with her performance on the show, and she became the darling of YouTube. It appeared as though she was well on the way to a rewarding singing career.
But the pressure of superstardom began to tell on Boyle. British tabloids began to report about her erratic behavior and dug up her personal problems.
Her losing at the final must have been the final blow.
Now the producers of Britain’s Got Talent are getting the heat over what happened to Boyle. There were criticisms that they didn’t take care of her well enough. The producers insist that they were not remiss.
So what happens now to the reluctant star? Will she retreat back to her old life or bounce back and fulfill her date with fame and fortune?
