EMI Phils proudly brings you an alternate versions collection of already-released (acoustic versions, extended remixes and live tracks) OPM hits spanning a decade of pure alternative rock. The Other Side… Acoustic, Live and Loud album is now out in the market to give you a different taste of your favorite songs from The Dawn, P.O.T., Sandwich, Bamboo, Sugarfree, Hale, Kamikazee, Truefaith, Hilera and other famous rock bands of this generation.
The Other Side has 12 tracks handpicked from the most selling albums that hit the market in their acoustic, live and loud versions. Culled from different albums from different OPM bands that made it to the top of the charts, now you can have them in their brilliant alternate versions in one package for only P260.
This collection starts off with a stripped-down version of Sandwich’s “Sugod” that will give you a different spectrum to its original rock flavor. Bamboo’s rock ballad “Masaya” with its acoustic nature of the arrangement places the emphasis on the words and it comes across as a beautiful love song. A tight acoustic rendition of Hale’s hit song in 2005—“The Day You Said Goodbye”—is also included in the album. You’ll also be enjoying “Burnout (Ulit),” an acoustic version from Sugarfree to rock trio Hilera with their unplugged version of the rock ballad “Pilit.” Others that feature acoustic guitar work and unplugged versions are “Mistake #3” by Truefaith, Spongecola’s “Tuliro” and Kamikazee’s “Narda.” Have a great slow groove and synth of remix singles of “Numb” by Slapshock and “Sunburn” (Chilitees) by Sandwich.
Remastered after a couple of years, two works of OPM rock’s most important groups were also revisited in this album—P.O.T with their brilliantly simple guitar arrangements of “Ulitin” and The Dawn’s live rendition of “Enveloped Ideas.”
The Other Side is an album loaded with live performances and alternate versions of songs that have had packed stadiums. You sure don’t wanna miss this to add to your rock album collections. The Other Side is already out in the market for only P260, released by EMI in cooperation with NU 107 The Home of NU Rock.
