Since Kris Aquino and her husband James Yap spent quite a fortune for their new house, the TV host-actress revealed that one of her major concerns now is to save money for the future. At the launching of Gyne Pro (a feminine wash brand), which is the newest endorsement for Kris, she disclosed that she's saving 40% of her earnings.
She's also not buying herself a gift on her birthday come Valentine's Day, same with James who marks his birthday on the 15th. She said she and James agreed that her birthday gift to her mom, the former President Cory Aquino, would be a new van. Kris didn't want to reveal what brand, but said that the vehicle will not have a problem with the Bureau of Customs since all its papers are in order. They are just waiting for the van to be delivered anytime this month.
Kris is happy with the good feedback that she received for the show "Patayin sa Sindak si Barbara" and is likewise very pleased with the opportunity given her to co-star with movie queen Ms. Susan Roces in the TV remake of "Patayin sa Sindak si Barbara," which is one of the most successful movies of the veteran actress.
She has a new project waiting for her at ABS-CBN and the widow of FPJ told her to accept the project since it suits her. But Kris wouldn't want to give the details regarding the project. "But Tita Susan told me to accept the project because it's really bagay for me. She even said she will talk to the ABS-CBN management to make sure that the project will really land on my lap," said Kris.

Alfred Vargas was taping his segments for the gag show "Nuts Entertainment" last week when "ESP" held a presscon that's why he was unable to attend. "ESP" is the newest suspense anthology on GMA 7 that also features Iza Calzado and Francine Prieto.
Alfred really wanted to attend the presscon of "ESP" but he had to finish four episodes for "Nuts Entertainment." By the time he arrived in Manila, it was already past midnight and the presscon was over.
But last Sunday he was at "SOP" together with Iza, Paolo Paraiso and Marco Alcaraz so he had the chance to promote his new TV show "ESP" where he plays a TV executive who falls in love with Iza who plays an investigative journalist.
Alfred is happy with the steady stream of projects coming his way in the Kapuso Channel. Aside from "Nuts Entertainment," he's also in the afternoon drama "My Only Love." His new show "ESP," written by Jun Lana and directed by Argel Joseph, will premiere tomorrow night..
The actor is pleased with the good feedback regarding the teaser of "ESP" which takes on the slot vacated by "Magpakailanman" that ran for five years. He has a good rapport with Iza and he's confident that the viewers would like this new suspense drama from GMA 7. He's also hopeful that "ESP" would be a top-rater just like his past projects on GMA.
The actor is happy that he's being given the chance to do varied projects on GMA 7. "Nuts Entertainment" is comedy, "My Only Love" is a drama and "ESP" is a thriller.
Being together in "ESP" is a reunion for Alfred and Iza. They were together in several episodes of "Magpakailanman" and "Encantadia" (although he was paired with Diana Zubiri in the latter. He and Iza were also together in the top-rating "Impostora."
“This is not your usual soap that you see every night. This is really something different and exciting," said Alfred.

Dingdong Dantes, the lead actor of the phenomenal GMA primetime show "Marimar," disclosed the show has been extended. Dingdong admitted that they had to stretch the show's story, and put more twists and turns into it. But even if they added more scenes, he said they made sure the changes would be more exciting for Sergio and Marimar.
"Pinahaba naman talaga ng konti, pero maganda pa rin naman. Okey pa rin naman. Yun naman talaga ang plinanong mangyari sa 'Marimar' ever since. Now, kailangan na rin niyang magtapos. Masaya ko because we had a good one. Walang pagsisisi dahil maganda lahat ang nangyari," said the matinee idol.
From the way he sounded, Dingdong gives the impression that he's serious with his role as Sergio and he's doing his best to live up to the expectations of the loyal viewers of "Marimar."
In fact, Dingdong said it was his stint in "Marimar" that made him change. It enabled him to show his acting ability.
"Ang laki talaga ng nagawa sa akin nun. I'm very thankful. Pinalabas nila talaga yung pagiging artista ko talaga. The real me, acting-wise...Naging kumportable ako sa kamera. In-terms of confidence, mas malaki ang idinagdag and I owe it to the character and the director and the cast because they were able to bring out the best in me," he said.
It it not yet confirmed but there are rumors that Marian would be given the role of Dyesebel when the series starts soon. It was also rumored that Dingdong is also being eyed to be Marian's leading in this remake of the tale of the well-loved komiks character. It was said to be the reason why Dingdong failed to get the hosting job for "Pinoy Idol," which went to Raymond Gutierrez.
"Alam ko may pinaplano sila...hindi ko pa lang alam. Maaaring yun [Dyesebel], maaaring hindi...Pero I know, hindi lang dito magtatapos ang samahan namin," said Dingdong, certain that 'Marimar' would not be the end of the tandem with Marian. But what Dingdong doesn't know is if his next soap would pair him anew with Marian.
He also said that if he will have his way, he would like to work again with Marian right after "Marimar." He really likes their tandem although he doesn't want to call it a love team.
"Hindi ako naniniwalang love team ‘yan, kasi, okey naman ako as an individual. And I'm sure, si Marian will be okay rin kahit iba ang ka-partner niya. Ako, I believe hindi pa namin nama-maximize ang puwede naming gawin as a tandem. Marami pa kaming puwedeng gawin. Siyempre, we started in TV and, hopefully...eventually in movie," he said.
Would be be threatened in case the Marian Rivera-Richard Gutierrez movie, "My Best Friend's Girl Friend," would be a hit?
"No," was his quick answer. "I believe Marian and I have proven that we are okay as TV partners. If the movie of Marian and Richard does good, it would be another feather in the hat of Marian. So it doesn't affect me in any way."
“Kung imbitado ako, I’ll be there,” said Dingdong when asked if he would attend the premiere night of "My Best Friend's Girl Friend."
