CEBU, Philippines - Iconic cosmetics powerhouse MAC (Make-up Art Cosmetics) has finally entered the Cebu market via the opening of its first outlet inside Rustans Department Store in Ayala Center Cebu.
Gay Lao, MAC Brand General Manager, Philippines, said that the MAC store in Cebu will offer a wide array of signature cosmetics to makeup fanatics in Southern Philippines.
Locals and tourists alike can enjoy professional makeup services and products in one location at MAC Ayala Center Cebu, the first outlet outside of Manila.
Aside from the array of product offerings,
consumers can indulge in the range of make-up artistry services that include one-on-one make up application and focus demonstrations, allowing them to engage with both the artist and products to create an individualized look that suits one’s style.
“We are thrilled to bring our M·A·C artistry and professional services to Cebu and to share our beauty philosophy with our customers,” said Lao.
The Cebu MAC store showcased over 700 M.A.C products inspired by trends, technologies and culture from all around the globe.
“As a brand, we stay relevant by constantly reinventing our exising products and using the latest innovation to create new products that appeal our diverse and multi-cultural customers,” she said.
While M·A·C has a reputation for exceptional product innovation, the heart and soul of the brand lies in honoring the beauty in everyone — all ages, all races, all sexes. To support this mantra, in 1994 Viva Glam was born, a collection that donated 100 percent of the selling price of its lipsticks, lipglosses and Kids helping Kids cards to the M·A·C AIDS Fund.
To date, the M·A·C AIDS Fund has donated over $225 million USD to support the needs of men, women and children living with HIV/Aids around the globe. The M·A·C AIDS Fund’s newest initiative focuses on creating awareness about the unique and rarely discussed challenges that women face in their fight against HIV/AIDS.
The new M·A·C location in Cebu City will allow consumers to experience M·A·C culture first hand.
Lao said the store will showcase make up artistry, trend, fashion and Viva Glam in one superbly designed location. The 31sqm space is part of a series of M·A·C “New Generation” store designs, representing the spirit and attitude of M·A·C. Although M·A·C Cebu is a compact space, the back walls allow the customers to walk in and interact with the products allowing them to touch and feel the products before purchasing.
M·A·C, a leading brand of professional cosmetics, was created in Toronto, Canada in 1984 and is part of The Estée Lauder Companies, Inc. --- (FREEMAN)
