Globe to offer "pocket-friendly" products for SMEs via Negostar

CEBU, Philippines - While a huge number of businesses in the Philippines have still not taken advantage of technology to aid operational activities to save cost, Globe Telecoms vows to offer attractive package for its premium service for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) called “Globe Negostar.”

Manny Aligada, head of corporate and SME segments at Globe Business said that the company will be introducing specialized or customized Globe Negostar products for businesses this year that are “pocket-friendly” for small businesses.

Although there are already a few thousand small and medium entrepreneurs who have benefited and still enjoying the services offered by Negostar, Aligada said there are still a lot of entrepreneurs out there who still have to take full advantage of the technology.

Thus, the company launched the Globe Negostar in Cebu recently to encourage more Cebuano entrepreneurs to achieve their ‘dreams” and help them grow their businesses using innovative yet affordable communication solutions.

According to Aligada, there is a need for a more active stance to promote technology to the greater number of entrepreneurs around the country, as some still regarded technology adoption as expensive, and could affect number of employees.

An active and aggressive promotion is started by Globe to educate and promote further the benefits of communication solutions to any business.

Through its Globe Business unit, Globe hosted a simultaneous NegoStar Forums in seven cities across the country, including Cebu, San Fernando City, La Union, Pampanga, Manila,, Tagaytay, Cavite, and Davao City.

“We have better offers and promos for SMEs this year and they will see more of the Globa Negostar as we continue to rollout all over the country,” Aligada said in a press conference.

He added that entrepreneurs are given the opportunity to have a free consultation on their respective communication technology requirement, based on their operation size and nature of businesses.

“We hope to see SMEs take advantage of the business tools we have put together especially with their needs in mind,” he added.

At present, the Globe broadband and Biz Laptop Bundle is a hit among SMEs, allowing entrepreneurs to access their emails, download files and surf the Internet anywhere.

Negostar also offers GPS Tracker, an innovative Globe Business solution that will give SMEs specially those in the delivery business the ability to monitor their vehicles in real-time using the Global Positioning System or GPS.

GPS is a satellite navigation system that determines the precise location of a person or delivery of stocks.

Other communication solutions offered during the Negotar included WebEye, TexTConnect (the text broadcast service); Business Plus (a customized postpaid plan that enables SMEs to choose the mobile service that best suits them), among others. (FREEMAN)
