Already recipients of numerous awards and accolades, three 2009 Kia Motors vehicles won "Best Buy" or "Recommended" awards from Consumer Guide. The value-laden Carens CUV (known as 'Rondo' in some markets) was marked as a "Best Buy" while the Rio sub-compact sedan/hatchback and Carnival minivan (known as 'Sedona' in other markets) were named as "Recommended" vehicles by the prestigious automotive guide.
The "Best Buy" award is given to vehicles representing the finest balance of attributes and price within their classes and for being the best choices for consumers.
"We are pleased but not surprised to have our vehicles recognized yet again," said Michael Sprague, vice president, marketing of Kia Motors America (KMA). "Having three of our vehicles named by Consumer Guide Automotive reflects Kia Motors' commitment to offering consumers value-minded and comfortable vehicles with outstanding quality and safety features."
Consumer Guide Automotive highlighted Carens' outstanding value, well-structured and roomy interior, comfortable ride and exceptional safety features including antilock brakes, traction control and front and side curtain airbags. Carnival and Rio both were recognized for the value provided by their outstanding safety features and standard equipment packages.
