“Entrepreneurs have to have campaigns both for online and offline consumers because there will come a day that most of them will go online,” said Google, Inc. Philippine Country Consultant Aileen Apolo at the Business Forum of the Mandaue Business Month held recently.
Internet marketing according to Apollo will be helpful especially to small businesses that are aiming to expand its operation and gain more customer base.
“Marketers should not stay in one platform to communicate products and services because there are so many facets already. It has become important to create sight, sound and e-motion for your marketing schemes,” added Apolo.
From the 60s to the 80s, there were fewer ads but now we are bombarded with lots of marketing messages in different ways anywhere we go. Media these days have become a diverse tool used to inform the public ranging from the traditional types like print, television, radio to blogs, pod casting, web hosting, and internet sourcing. For consumers, Apolo said that this shift is good news as product proliferation and availability means more choices for buyers.
Acording to AC Nielsen surveys, 30% of consumers are spending their time “on-line” greatly suggesting that efficient allocation of marketing expenditure is by thus utilizing and focusing on reaching out to this huge segment of the market.

With this industry needs, Google is determined to aid industry players by providing amazing resource creating criteria that will make products and services effectively marketed on-line.
