The company according to its president Antonio Tompar, is commissioned to provide the Golf Club's recycled water for irrigation requirement for 20 years, providing a total of 2,000 cubic-meter a day.
In an interview, Tompar said Mactan Rock has invested about P16 million for the technology to recycle wastewater at the Club.
The P110 million estimated worth of the deal is computed as gross revenue for Mactan Rock in the next 20 years.
"We have already received notice to start operation in the first quarter of next year," Tompar said.
Also, he added that Mactan Rock will also be starting to provide recycled water for flushing at the De Los Santos Hospital also in Metro Manila.
The establishment of this facility at the hospital will cost Mactan Rock another P5 million investment to set up the water recycling technology, which will produce about 300 cubic-meters a day, he said.
Mactan Rock, which is owned by a group of Cebuano businessmen, has been providing water technology facilities all over the country. It currently services about 10 companies in Manila, including Westin Philippine Plaza Hotel, Manila Pavilion Hotel, International Port in Manila, Kraft Foods, City State Building in Mandaluyong, among others.
Already, Mactan Rock has been providing water technology solutions to over 350 industries around the country. It is the first company in Asia that introduced the desalination process, which will purify sea water turning it as potable water.
Among the company's biggest clients, include; the Shangri-La's Mactan Island Resort, Waterfront Philippines Inc., Coca Cola, Davao International Airport, Ayala Center Cebu, Westin Plaza Hotel.
